LIFE IS FAR from perfect, but having healthy hair and nails can make ANY day seem perfect, right?! This is where hair and nail vitamins can help.
BUT there are so many different types of hair and nail vitamins/herbs/supplements on the market with a wide range of different ingredients, all claiming to have that one ‘secret’ ingredient that ‘will work.’
So how are you supposed to filter through dozens of products to find that one that will work for you, WITHOUT wasting months of your time and spending thousands of rands?
Well, you don’t have to, because I did that for you!
I spent thousands of rands on hair and nail vitamins, herbs & supplements, AND weeks reading through reviews, the fine print, and research studies on each and every single ingredient.
Based on all that, here’s what I found.
Even though each person will have a different experience with the products, the better you understand what’s inside your supplement, the better you can understand if it will work for you. After all, beauty does come from within!
These are the ‘qualifying criteria’ that were the most important when selecting hair and nail vitamins during my research.
01. Ingredients.
Does the product contain key active ingredients that are known to improve healthy hair and nails? After conducting research, I decided to choose hair and nail supplements that included a blend of some of the popular ingredients that are said to help achieve healthy hair and nails.
Here are the key ingredients that should guide you when purchasing a hair and nail supplement.
Biotin. One of the most popular ingredients on my list is Biotin. Biotin (or vitamin H) is known to assist in the maintenance of healthy hair, skin, and nails. Despite the popularity that biotin has gained, there are limited studies that indicate how effective biotin is in promoting hair and nail growth for an average person who doesn’t have hair or nails deficiencies.
Although the research is limited, the clinical studies that were conducted indicate positive results after using biotin. One study shows that 18 people with underlying hair and nail problems have seen an improvement after taking biotin. Another study conducted with 45 people indicates that biotin is effective in treating brittle nails.
Although the FDA has not released a recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for biotin, this study has shown that biotin is safe to induce and the adequate daily intake for adults over the age of 19 is 30 (mcg). Furthermore, the FDA released a statement indicating that high levels of biotin may interfere with lab tests.
Saw Palmetto. Saw palmetto is not as popular as the other supplements mentioned in this article. However, after watching a video on hair, skin, and nail supplements, I realized that many people have experienced side effects (such as acne) after using products with biotin. Hence, I thought it would be interesting to research products that included saw palmetto, as an alternative supplement.
Saw palmetto (or Serenoa repens) is classified as a small palm. The berries from the palm are used in supplements to enhance healthy hair and nails. A study shows that saw palmetto does increase hair growth when used in oral and topical products, but there is a lack of research to indicate the efficiency of the supplement in the long run.
MSM: The ingredient MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is also popular for enhancing hair and nail growth. Research has indicated that oral supplements with a higher concentration of MSM provide faster and more effective results to hair and nails.
Collagen: Collagen is an essential protein that forms a foundation for many body functions. Recently, there has been a surge in the demand for products that contain collagen. Although this demand is related to the skin benefits of collagen, Type I & Type III collagen promote healthy hair and nails.
One study indicated that oral supplements with collagen increase nail growth and treat brittle nails. However, there is a lack of studies that indicate whether collagen promotes hair growth.
Other vitamins and minerals: Some of the other key vitamins and minerals in promoting healthy hair and nails include Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Iron, and Zinc. While each vitamin has its own limitations, there is research indicating how these vitamins may assist in treating hair loss.
02. Results.
Does the product do what it says it does? To decide this, I considered product reviews across the internet, along with research behind each ingredient.
03. Taste & Smell.
How do the products taste and smell? I felt that taste is an important factor to consider as all the products have to be consumed, on a daily basis.
04. Consumption method & Ease of use.
When researching products, I found four types of consumption methods. Chewies, tablets, capsule-based, and tincture-based products. Although the tablets and capsules were easier to induce, tincture-based products have been shown to include other benefits. The advantages and disadvantages of both consumption methods will be discussed below.
05. Is the product worth the money?
When deciding if the product is worth the money, I took a close look at the ingredients, the overall quality, and if I thought the product worked. After analyzing each product, I realized just because a product is cheap, it doesn’t make it worth the money. There are various factors that need to be taken into consideration to decide whether the product will actually work.
06. Refund Policy.
I think a refund policy is essential when purchasing a hair and nail product because each person will get different results from the product.
Based on those 6 qualifying criteria, here’s a list of some of my favorite hair and nail supplements in South Africa.

Keep reading below to discover my in-depth research on each product mentioned in the table above.
01. Sugarbear Hair Vitamins

I was really excited to try this product, after all, it is a “Kardashian-Approved” product.
The light blue packaging with the gummy bear was very appealing. The label was very informative and I like that the main ingredients were displayed on the front and that the product is cruelty-free.
When I opened the bottle, I got a sweet, yet pleasant smell. The bear-shaped gummies instantly made me eager to try one, it almost felt as if I was a kid in the candy shop. I liked that the bear theme was consistent at every element of the product, which added to the overall appeal of the product.
Ingredients
The first thing that stood out when I looked at the Sugarbear Hair vitamins ingredients was that the dominant ingredient in this formula is biotin.
This vegan formula contains 5100 micrograms (mcg) of Biotin, this product has the highest dosage of Biotin compared to the other products.
That being said, Sugar Bear mentions that pregnant women should consult their doctor before use.
Results along with side-effects
Based on the results and reviews from 8120 people found on the Sugar Bear website, 94% of people saw results after 3 months and 99% preferred the taste of the Sugar Bear hair vitamins other than other vitamins.
While these results are really impressive, I also took a look at the comments about what people did not like about this product. A few people have mentioned that they had issues with falling asleep after taking these products. Since the reviews on Takealot were limited, I took a look at the reviews on Amazon.
While most of these reviews were positive, one of the major concerns was that people had experienced cystic acne after using the product. People in these comments speculated that the high dosage of biotin resulted in acne, however, there are no studies that show the link between biotin and acne.
Taste & Smell
All 4 of my colleagues and I enjoyed the taste of the gummies and I was glad that the gummies smelt like candy. We did notice that the gummies did leave a slightly sweet aftertaste and we disliked that the chewies get stuck on your teeth. This could be frustrating for someone who wears braces.
I was glad that the gummies looked as good as they tasted! Their delicious candy-like taste would make you look forward to including these vitamins in your daily routine. Although it may seem difficult to forget to take them, the delicious taste makes it very tempting to try more than two gummies a day.
Ease of use
This product contains 60 gummies and recommended dosage for SugarBear Hair vitamins is 2 gummies daily.
The texture and flavor of the gummies are designed to make them more palatable than capsules or pills. This accommodates people who find it difficult to swallow or do not like the taste of pills or capsules.
A study suggests that gummies are absorbed more easily than traditional pills or capsules, which is another benefit if people are trying to achieve faster results. The gummies were my favorite method of consumption amongst my teammates.
Is it worth the money?
The Sugarbear Hair vitamins are R450. Since there are 60 gummies in a bottle, and the required dosage is 2 gummies a day, one bottle will only last 30 days.
My team and I felt that the price was a bit too high and we would not purchase it as there are alternative products that could offer the same results. I agree that the price was a bit high, especially for an average South African, however, despite the price, I think this product is worth the money.
The product has high-quality physical appeal, it contains key ingredients in assisting with healthy hair and nails, and the brand states that this product is suitable for all hair types.
Refund Policy
If you purchase this product from Takealot, it is covered by Takealot’s 30-day refund policy. This is only valid if you have not yet opened the product. This policy is disappointing and questionable, as you can not claim back your money if you have tried the product and you are unsatisfied with the results.
The refund policy should take into consideration that everyone has different experiences with these products.

02. Cowgirls Hair & Nail Herbs

I was instantly attracted to the packaging of the Cowgirls Hair & Nail Herbs.
The earthy colors along with the cowgirl silhouette create a serene feel. The tincture is packaged in a glass bottle with a built-in pipette dropper, this gave off the impression that the product is high quality. When I opened the bottle, the tincture had a pleasant dried fruit scent. I liked that the label was very informative and the daily dosage is easily accessible.
Ingredients
I liked that Cowgirl’s hair & nails tincture has an all-natural formula and has different ingredients in comparison to the other products mentioned in this article.
I also like that the ingredient list is simple. The active ingredients include herbs such as saw palmetto, nettle, fenugreek, Gotu kola, and hibiscus. This is the only product on my list that does not contain biotin which makes it a great alternative for people that have experienced adverse reactions from using products that contain biotin or for those who are hesitant about biotin.
Results
The brand recommends taking the tincture for at least a month before noting any results.
The Cowgirl’s company mentions that you could start seeing results after 2 months, this could vary from person to person as some people might see results sooner. This is a fairly new product so I could not find reviews of the product on Takealot or on the company website.
Taste & Smell
I asked 4 of my colleagues to comment on the taste of this tincture. Everyone, including myself, agreed that the tincture had a slightly medicinal taste and smell. This tincture was very palatable and did not have an aftertaste.
Ease of use
Cowgirls Hair and Nail Tincture is taken by adding 30 drops into the water once a day. For chronic cases of Alopecia, this product has to be taken twice a day.
Taking the Cowgirls tincture is not as convenient as taking a capsule every day but according to this study, liquid extracts can be absorbed faster than capsules. It could also be beneficial to people who find it difficult to induce capsules. Despite the inconvenience, this method of consumption was preferred among my teammates, opposed to capsules or tablets.
Is it worth the money?
The price of the Cowgirls Hair and Nails tincture is R399. The tincture lasts for approximately 4 months for an average person and approximately 2 months for people who suffer from Alopecia.
Three of my teammates and I, felt that the price would not be an issue however, my teammate Bonnie felt that this was too expensive and she would not purchase it. I think that this is very reasonable in the long run, compared to the other products on this list and the natural herbs included making it a great alternative for people who had reactions from Biotin infused products.
I also think it will definitely be worth the commitment as this product will last for a while, so you will be able to see results before your next purchase. The brand advises that pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding should not use the product.
Refund Policy
If you have purchased this product on the Cowgirls website, it is covered by a brilliant 90-day money-back guarantee. This guarantee is valid without having to return the opened product, so you can try it without the risk. It is recommended that you try the product for at least 30 days.

03. Vitatech Hair, Skin & Nails

The Vitatech tablets are packaged in a lightweight plastic bottle. When I opened the bottle, I was quite disappointed to see that most of the tablets were broken, it gave off an impression that the quality was not as good as I expected a product from the Nutritech brand to be. This could also mean that the tablets would be powdering as soon as you put it in your mouth.
Ingredients
The Vitatech formulation is very similar to the other products. The key ingredients in this formula include popular ingredients such as Biotin & collagen. It also includes a blend of vitamin A, B, C, D, E, to name a few.
Results
The Nutritech brand does not mention how soon you can expect to see results after using the product. The results based on 52 reviews from Takealot, people mentioned that the product did work but results on how soon it worked varied according to each person. I was relieved that none of these people noticed any dramatic side effects after using the product.
Taste
The Vitatech tablets have a slight medicinal smell, it reminds me of the smell of a multivitamin. My teammate, Luandri, decided to try the tablets and comment on the taste. She mentioned that the tablets taste like vitamins but were slightly bitter.
Ease of use
Vitatech tablets are packed in a bottle, with a recommended dosage of 1 tablet daily, after a meal. This is a convenient option for those who are comfortable with taking tablets, as it is a lot quicker and easier than tinctures.
Is it worth the money?
The price of the Vitatech tablets is R70. Since there are 30 tablets, which need to be taken once a day, this bottle will last you for a month.
Two of my teammates said they would purchase the product because it is affordable. My colleague Yeshmika and I, were a bit hesitant because the price is so low, which made the effectiveness of the product questionable.
This is the cheapest product on my list but I do not think that this is worth the money because I was disappointed with the poor manufacturing of the tablets. When the tablets are broken it could be difficult to continue with the daily dosage, which could alter results.
Refund Policy
The Nutritech website offers a 7-day refund policy for all its products. This product is also covered by Takealot’s 30-day refund policy. In both instances, the refund policy is only valid if you have not yet opened the product, which in my opinion is unreasonable, especially when it comes to experience-based products.

04. Vital Hair, Skin & Nails

I decided to include this product because the Vital brand is common among South Africans.
Vital soft-gel capsules were packaged in a plastic bottle. Although the nutritional facts were easy to find, the patient information leaflet was enclosed so you would have to cut out the tape to view this. The soft-gel capsules were brown and in my opinion, these capsules looked unappetizing. This would not be something I would look forward to taking every day.
Ingredients
The Vital Hair, Skin & Nails key ingredients are 400 mcg of biotin and folic acid. Although folic acid is associated with cell growth, there is a lack of research indicating whether folic acid alone can assist with hair and nail growth.
The other ingredients in the formula include a blend of essential vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin C and Collagen to name a few, which help generate healthy hair, skin, and nails. The collagen used in this product is Hydrolysed Collagen, which is derived from cows, if you have dietary restrictions, it might be worth considering another hair and nail supplement.
Results
The Vital website mentions that people’s hair grows at 1cm per month and nails grow at 3mm per month, hence the brand recommends taking the vitamins for a longer period to notice better results. This product had received a 4.3-star rating from 44 people on Takealot. Most people have noticed results after using the product for two months. There is limited data available about the side effects that people have experienced.
Taste
The Vital capsules have a fishy smell but it was not overpowering. Luandri volunteered to taste the capsules, she mentioned if swallowed you won’t get a taste but if the soft gel pops, it’s extremely bitter!
Ease of use
The recommended dosage for this product is one capsule daily, which should be taken with water, after food. This option is ideal for people on the move as taking capsules would be less time-consuming than consuming chewies or tinctures.
Is it worth the money?
Vital Hair, Skin & Nails capsules are R119 for 30 capsules. This bottle will last for a month since one capsule should be taken daily. My colleagues and I would purchase this product based on affordability. I think that this is worth the money, the product is cost-effective and it contains essential ingredients which can be effectively used as an antioxidant.
Refund Policy
This product is covered by Takealot’s 30-day refund policy. If you purchase the product from Dischem, it is covered by the 6-month refund policy and if you purchase it from Clicks, you are covered by a 30-day refund policy. It’s rather disappointing that in all cases, you can only claim your money back if the product remains unopened.

05. GNC Women’s Hair, Skin and Nails Soft Chews

Given that GNC is a global health and wellness brand, I was eager to try this product as their products are renowned for their high quality.
This product was packaged in a simple flexible pouch packet. I felt that the white packaging was not as eye-catching as the other products. When I opened the packet, I got a sweet blackcurrant scent, which made me eager to try the product. I did notice that each chew was wrapped individually. This could seem time-consuming for people who are on the go.
Ingredients
The GNC Soft Chews contains beneficial key ingredients such as 3000 mcg of biotin and collagen which foster healthy hair, skin, and nails as mentioned previously. This product contains the second-highest dosage of biotin compared to other products on this list. Another key ingredient is hyaluronic acid, which has been shown to have promising skin benefits such as hydrating the skin and restoring skin elasticity.
The sweet smell of the product made me curious about the sugar content that this product contains. The package says it contains a trivial amount of sugar. When I looked through the ingredients, I saw under the “other ingredients” GNC listed the sugars that were used, I was disappointed that it did not indicate the amount for the sugars that were used. I found an article that indicates other names for sugar on the label, some of which have been used in this product.
Results
The local reviews about this product have been limited, so I took a look at reviews on Amazon.
This product received a 4.4 out of 5-star rating from 153 people on Amazon. Most of the reviews were positive and mentioned that people did start seeing results after using the product for a month. It was a relief to see that people did not experience cystic acne but it was interesting to see that there were people that did not enjoy the taste of these chews.
Taste & Smell
The GNC chews had a sweet smell when the product was opened. All 4 of my teammates, including myself enjoyed the grape-like taste of the chews. However, the chews were quite sweet and there was a bit of a sweet after-taste that lingered.
Ease of use
This product contains 60 soft chews in a lightweight plastic bag. Chews are a great alternative for people that find it difficult to swallow pills, even though it make take longer to consume. I felt that these chews were a bit large and were harder to bite into, than the Sugarbear chews, but this was not an issue because I really enjoyed the taste.
Is it worth the money?
The price of the GNC Soft Chews is R399. Since there are 60 chews and each daily dosage consists of one chew, this product will last for 2 months.
Despite the price, all 4 of my teammates and I would purchase this product, because it tastes great and it would be something that we would look forward to consuming every day. This product is on the high-end side but the overall experience with the product correlates with the price. However, for someone who wants to reduce their sugar content, an alternative vitamin might suit your daily diet.
Refund Policy
This product is covered by Clicks 30-day refund policy. Unfortunately, this is only valid if the product has yet opened been opened, which is dissatisfying if you felt that the product has not worked for you.

06. Biovea Hair, Skin & Nails Supplement

Biovea Hair, Skin, and Nails supplements are packaged in a plastic bottle. The label has a very soft, velvety feel which gives the impression that the product is high quality. I disliked that the key ingredients are not displayed on the front, so you would have to search through the nutritional facts to find the key ingredients.
Ingredients
I thought that it was interesting that Biovea mentioned that this supplement is the “most advanced internal beautifying herbal supplement ever developed.”
Despite this claim, the all-natural formula includes active ingredients similar to the other products that are listed in this article. These ingredients include 350 mcg of Biotin, nutrients such as MSM, and antioxidants such as vitamin C & E, to name a few. These capsules are vegetarian, so people who follow a vegan diet might want to look for alternatives.
Results
The Biovea website does not include how soon people can expect to see results after using this product. I was quite disappointed that there were no reviews on Takealot or Amazon.
Since reviews were limited, I took a look at the international Biovea website, this just had 4 reviews in which the product received a 4-star rating. Based on the reviews, people saw positive results and it was great to see that some people saw a difference in their hair and nails as soon as a week!
Taste & Smell
This product did not have a distinct smell, it smells like a multivitamin. If swallowed, the taste of the capsules is not evident. However, if you decide to take the capsules in powder form, it has a bitter taste and a bit of a fishy aftertaste.
Ease of use
This product contains 60 capsules. The suggested daily intake is 2 capsules daily with a meal. The capsules can be an efficient option for those that are on the move. However, this is not ideal for people who experience difficulty when swallowing capsules, especially since 2 capsules need to be taken.
Is it worth the money?
Biovea Hair, Skin, and Nails supplements are R139.95 for 60 capsules. Since two capsules need to be taken daily, this bottle will last for a month.
My colleagues and I felt that the price would not influence our purchase decision as this product is fairly reasonable. I think this product is worth the money because it is affordable, the ingredients are great and my colleagues and I had a pleasant experience with the unboxing and taste of the product.
Refund Policy
If you have purchased this product from the Biovea website, it is covered by a 30-day refund policy. This means if you are unsatisfied with the product, it can be returned for store credit, exchange, or full refund. However, if you purchase the product on Takealot, you can only receive a full refund in 30 days, provided you have not yet opened the product.
07. Prosana Intensive Hair and Nail Booster

I chose to review this product because it was available in local pharmacies such as Dischem and Clicks. The Prosana Hair & Nail booster was packaged in an eco-friendly cardboard box. I thought that the cardboard box was unique as you just slide the top half out to get to the product. Once opened, the product was packaged in 3 sheets of capsules.
Ingredients
The Prosana Intensive Hair and Nail booster contain 400 mcg of Biotin, it also contains Folic Acid amongst other key ingredients. The ingredient choline bitartrate stood out to me. Research suggests that this ingredient improves the strength and elasticity of the hair. It was also interesting that this was the only product on my list that contained soy protein, which studies have indicated improves a healthy scalp and may promote hair growth.
Results
I was disappointed that there was limited data regarding how the product worked for people.
Taste
These capsules did not have a scent, however, when the capsule is taken in powder form it was not pleasant. The capsule was very bitter and had an almost citric soda-like taste.
Ease of use
The indicated dosage for the Prosana Hair and Booster capsules is once a day, preferably taken with food. As with all other capsules, if you struggle with swallowing them, you can open the capsule and take them in powder form.
Is it worth the money?
Prosana Intensive capsules are R175 for 30 capsules. The recommended daily dosage is one capsule a day, which means the product will last for a month.
While this product is a bit more expensive than the other products listed, I think that this product is a great choice as it contains a unique blend of nutrients that have been proven to work well for maintaining healthy hair and nails. I also think this product is ideal for people that are on the go.
Refund Policy
This product is covered by Takealot’s and Clicks 30-day refund policy. It is also covered by Dischem’s 6-month refund policy. It is unfortunate that in all three cases, the refund policy is only applicable if the product remains sealed. I am not in favor of these refund policies, especially when each person’s experience will be different.

08. Biogen Renu Hair, Skin & Nails

From the outset, I liked the packaging of the Biogen product, I felt like a lot of effort was put into their packaging design. The Biogen capsules were vibrant red in color which made me eager to try the capsule. However, when I opened the bottle, I got an overpowering fish smell, and I felt that this resulted in me being reluctant to try the capsule.
Ingredients
The ingredients found in Biogen are similar to the other products, with the key active ingredients being 250 mcg of Biotin, Folic Acid, and Vitamin C.
I also noticed that this product contains the ingredient, choline bitartrate. The benefits of this ingredient have been listed previously, however, I also found a study that suggests that this ingredient might give off a fishy odor. This could provide an explanation for the scent that was received when I opened the bottle.
Results
Unfortunately, there are not enough reviews to get an idea of how well this product has worked for other people.
Taste
Once this bottle was opened, 4 of my colleagues and I received a really dissatisfying fishy smell. This had put everyone off from trying the capsule. My team member, Luandri volunteered to try the capsule despite the overbearing smell. She mentioned that the powder form was not as bad as it smelt, but it did have a fishy after taste.
Ease of use
The recommended dosage is 2 capsules daily. As mentioned, the red capsules look very appealing, but people may struggle to get past the smell and take 2 capsules daily.
Is it worth the money?
The price of the Biogen supplements is R139. Since there are 60 tablets with a recommended daily dosage of 2 capsules, this bottle will last a month.
My teammates and I felt that this product is affordable. I personally think this product is worth the money, despite the unpleasant smell, I think there has been a lot of effort that has been put into each element of the product, which gives off the impression that high-quality ingredients were used.
Refund Policy
The Biogen website offers a six-month refund policy, which is only applicable if have not yet opened the item. If you have purchased the product from Dischem, you are covered by a 6-month refund policy, which is only valid if the product remains sealed. In both cases, the refund policy defeats the purpose of a refund.

09. Wellvita Hair, Skin & Nails

The Wellvita capsules are packaged in a plastic bottle. I liked the gold packaging which instantly grabbed my attention! I think it’s great that the daily dosage and key ingredients were displayed on the front of the label. However, since these are soft-gel capsules, people who have difficulty swallowing capsules might be at a disadvantage.
Ingredients
Wellvita contains a natural formula that includes active ingredients such as Biotin, Vitamin B5, and Zinc, which are found in the other products that I have mentioned. The ingredient that stood out for me was omega-3 fatty acids, which have not been mentioned previously. Research has shown omega-3 fatty acids effectively act against hair loss, which makes this formulation very effective.
Results
There were limited reviews available for this product. There were 3 reviews on the Wellvita page, all three revealed that they had a positive experience with the product and started noticing results from two months onwards. None of these reviews mentioned any side effects.
Taste
As with other capsules, when you swallow the Wellvita capsules, you won’t receive any lingering taste. However, if you pop the Wellvita capsules, you would get a taste similar to solid vitamin C capsules.
Ease of use
The Wellvita supplements are packaged in a bottle. The recommended dosage is 1 soft gel a day with a meal. These capsules are faster to consume but it could be easy to forget to take the capsules with a meal. For those that have difficulty swallowing capsules, a chewie or tincture might be a better option.
Is it worth the money?
The price of Wellvita is R128 for 30 capsules. Since the recommended daily dosage is 1 capsule per day, this bottle will last a month.
I think that this product is worth the money, its affordability makes it fit the budget of an average South African. I think that the packaging gives off the impression that the product is of a high standard and it would be effective in doing what the brand says it would.
Refund Policy
If this product was purchased from Dischem, it is covered by a 6-month refund policy. It is also covered by Takealot’s 30-day refund policy. In both cases, the refund is only applicable if you have not tried the product, hence I feel that these refund policies are not useful if you are unsatisfied with the results after using the product!

10. Revite Hair, Skin & Nail Formula

This product comes in tablet form and was packaged in a plastic bottle. I was disappointed with the packaging of the product, the design was very basic and did not include the key ingredients in the front. When I opened the bottle, the tablets reminded me of “Smarties” which were white. This could be a relief for people who struggle to swallow large capsules.
Ingredients
This product has a nutrient-rich formula, which includes vitamin C, folic acid, iron, and zinc to name a few. Revite Hair, Skin & Nails formula focuses on other active ingredients and includes just 200 mcg of biotin.
Results:
The Revite website does not mention anything about how soon you can expect to see results after using the product.
The reviews for this product were limited, I took a look at the 22 reviews found on Takealot. The product received a 4.1-star rating and the majority of the reviews mentioned that they noticed a difference in the hair, skin, and nail growth and were pleased with how fast the product worked for them However, there were two people that mentioned they, unfortunately, experienced breakouts after using the product. Since there are so few reviews, it’s hard to tell whether this side effect is common among other people.
Taste:
The product does have a sweet outer layer, so it would be convenient for people who swallow their tablets easily. However, if you are one of the people that bite into tablets instead of swallowing them, this pill would be unpleasant as it is very bitter!
Ease of use:
The recommended dosage is 2 tablets at breakfast. Using this product will be a lot quicker and easier than capsules, chewies, or tinctures. However, this might be an inconvenience for people who generally skip breakfast.
Is it worth the money?
The price of Revite Hair, Nails, and Skin is R117 on Takealot. Since there are 60 capsules that need to be taken twice daily, the product will last for 30 days.
My teammates and I felt the price would not affect our decision to purchase the product. That being said, I do not think this product is worth the money, while this product is a budget-friendly option, I was disappointed with the overall aesthetics. This led me to believe that this product might not be a high-quality product.
Refund Policy
This product is covered by Takealot’s 30-day refund policy and Dischem’s 6-month refund policy. As mentioned previously, I do not find these refund policies practical as they are only applicable when the product remains sealed.
